🌟 Neurodivergence Isn’t an Excuse—It’s an Explanation 🌟
Here’s the truth:
👉 It explains why we’ve tried so hard but still struggled.
👉 Why we’ve worked 250x harder just to appear ‘normal.’
👉 Why the support we’ve accessed hasn’t fit our needs.
👉 Why we’ve been called ‘lazy’ or ‘stupid’—and believed it.
👉 Why we’ve felt broken, without knowing why.
👉 Why connection can feel so difficult.
👉 Why ‘easy’ things aren’t easy for us.An article I read suggested people want ADHD diagnoses as a ‘convenient excuse’ for normal struggles, draining resources from those who “really need it.”
But who gets to decide who ‘needs it most’?
Who defines what ‘normal struggles’ are?Why should anyone have to hit crisis point before they can access help?
Books like Alex Partridge’s “Now It All Makes Sense” or Kat Brown’s “It’s Not a Bloody Trend” are lifelines for many—offering understanding, validation, and community.
Instead of blaming people seeking support, why aren’t we challenging the broken systems that failed them in the first place?
✨ Let’s destigmatize, support, and advocate for change. ✨
