Lately stress has been messing up my appetite, focus, and even how I talk!

I’ve been under constant stress for the past few weeks, and it’s really starting to show. My energy feels drained, I get irritated easily, and even simple conversations feel difficult. I just want to know how others here cope when stress begins to take over like this.

What you are describing is not "just stress" — appetite, focus and even speech run on the same nervous system that a long stretch of pressure keeps switched on. Our piece The Science of Stress goes through what changes in the brain and the body when that switch never turns off.

One thing worth trying before anything bigger: three minutes of stillness before your first meal, not after your last one. Does it show up more on some days than others?

Adding one practical note: stress and digestion are the same conversation. When the body stays in alert mode it borrows from digestion first, which is why appetite goes strange early.

In the Soleus series this is why Pranayam comes before the harder work — breath is the one part of the system you can steady on purpose. Even Kapalbhati for a minute, twice a day, is a start.
